After attending the wedding of their manager ( Jason Barrett) in Hawaii, Zac Efron returns home with his girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens, and apparently with a new film project hands.
According to the website Variety, Zac Efron is on the verge of concluding an agreement to be part of the remake of the hit 80's, Footloose. And work by Kenny Ortega , it is said also that he would direct the film.
Paramount Pictures has launched the film, which will begin during Spring 2009. At the moment, it is known that the head of the script is ADAPTOR Peter Sollett . Lor film's producers are Zadah Craig and Neil Meron, the same who worked in 'Hairspray' .
"Footloose" tells the story of Ren McCornarck, a Chicago teen who moves to the rural community of Elmore City, Oklahoma. There, the City prohibits the rock and dance music. Ren is responsible for mobilizing their peers in high school to claim the right to make your graduation party with music .
This movie was a classic 80's and led to Kevin Bacon , its protagonist, to stardom.
