The Mexican government has launched a database that covers all the killings, saying they have a link to the drug wars to the country in which at least seven different drug cartels are fighting federal and other forces deployed in a massive offensive against them began in December 2006.

The database is the official image more detailed Wars drug public yet, which shows the geographical distribution of violence to the municipal level.

Ciudad Juarez, across the border from Texas, has been the most violent city since 2008, although most also have federal presence.

The figures released do not specify how many of the dead are supposed to be related to the cartels, how many were from the security forces, or how many innocent civilians were dragged into the horror.
